I'm very invested in this story world; my muse may flag at times, but I'll never give up on it. For example, the cliff-hanger at the end of this chapter has actually been written almost since the beginning; it's one of the parts of the story I've been most looking forward to. =)

The bit about "home sweet home" has to do with the other condition for breaking the blood protection on the Dursley's house-- declaring that it's not his home anymore. When he leaves #4 in Deathly Hallows, it's actually just short of his birthday, so Moody makes sure he's fulfilled that second condition: that he's declared he's parting from his aunt, and doesn't intend to live under her roof ever again. He's thinking about invoking that clause again.
